Cook/Server
Job Summary
Northfield Retirement Community (NRC) is seeking a Cook/Server for 37 hours per week. As a Cook/Sever you would be responsible for cooking breakfast and preparing meals for groups of residents from 6am-2:00pm, making connections with resident in the dining area as well as helping clean and organize the kitchens. Northfield Retirement Community is a Christian, not-for-profit organization where our residents are encouraged to continue their active lifestyles with the support of their caregivers. NRC employs team members devoted to compassionate care for seniors ensuring a comfortable atmosphere while maintaining a safe and supportive Christian environment.
Hours: 37 hours per week / Every Other Weekend / Every Other Holiday
Shift: 6:00 am - 2:00 pm-as a Cook/Sever
Responsibilities and Duties
- Make personal connections with residents
- Provide help serving meals for residents
- Prepare and cook meals
- Clean up after meals, organize the kitchen
- Put stock away and fill floor orders
Qualifications and Skills:
- Outgoing, friendly personality. Must be able to establish and maintain positive relationships with residents
- Prior experience with cooking and cleaning is a plus, training offered
- Must be flexible, reliable and able to work independently. Willing to learn all areas of the kitchen.
- Able to lift 50 pounds. Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds in order to help with the truck deliveries.
- Maintain a neat appearance. Cleanliness is very important to providing optimal food service
